Recipe: Jerk Chicken Kittitian Classic (Summer Collection)

I'm stocking you guys up for summer! Remember the jerk sauce I posted not too long ago? No? Well have a refresher CLICK HERE all refreshed? Okay great! So here's a recipe, well not really a recipe, just something you can use the sauce with. The sauce itself (if left raw) can be used to season your meat, fish or veg (yes, jerk veg!) thus reducing your cooking time, increasing your summer time doubling your fun. Lol, okay so enough yapping lets get cooking!

Prep: 5mins | Cooking: 20-30mins
Makes 4 pieces of chicken
 You can use a griddle pan or a BBQ pick your poison...

You Will Need:

  • 4 Chicken Thighs - cleaned, skinned and dried.
  • Jerk Sauce - Again, check out my homemade version > here < or use a store brand.

Method:

  1. Ensure your meat has been cleaned, skinned and has been dried either with a paper towel or a clean tea towel you use only for meat.
  2. Add a tablespoon per thigh, in this case 4.
  3. Massage the jerk sauce into each thigh and ensure they are all coated. At this point you can either leave this overnight (BBQ) or cook right away.
  4. Heat your griddle pan (or BBQ Grill), add a small amount of oil, once heated add your thighs. Leave until golden (10 mins), then flip over.
  5. The honey added to my homemade sauce, will create a lovely crisp outside so no skin is needed when using my recipe.
  6. Once cooked through serve up. 
This jerk chicken is great with anything! Rice, Salad, or even on it's own. Its your BBQ season, dress it up however you like!
