Review: Your Silhouette UK

Hey readers! I know it's been a few weeks since i last posted something, sorry about that but my dissertation draft has been handed in so I'm taking this chance to update you on a new trend that is slowly taking the UK by storm!
WAIST CINCHERS / WAIST TRAINING!!
I know that we over here in the UK are a bit cautious about this new trend, so I'm going to give you the benefits of using this tool as an in aid in your weight loss journey and some information on the company i used to get mine!

Firstly, i would like to say that waist training and waist cinching are two very different things although the connection has been made the same, the two are very different. Waist training is normally with a bone corset and you string it up at the back rather than a cincher which uses latex, compression and two or three rows of hooks to slowly inch you down. Corsets are linked with the negative outcomes, such as a shift in organs and really tiny 10 inch waists. Whereas cinchers are a natural way to reduce the inches in your waist and smooth your torso.

What is a waist cincher?
  • A tool which is used around the torso to help aid in the natural shaping and weight loss around your midsection.
  • It helps to smooth out the lumps and bumps over a number of weeks (4-12)
  • Helps you lose the inches while you workout by using compression and latex material which causes the body to heat, causing sweat, detoxes the body & breaks down the fat stores.
  • By using compression, it helps to reduce your appetite and when you do eat, because of the compression you are filled up on a lot less.
  • Safe, natural way to enhance your curves and fast track the loss of those few inches around the hardest part of the female body, the mid section!
  • Helps with your posture.
  • Naturally lifts the breasts
My Cincher.
Your clincher.
I have the Ann Chery sports cincher (as in picture). It is the cheaper clincher out of the three most popular, it has a shorter torso at the back ie it covers the lower back rather than the whole back, however it is more flexible than the other clinchers on offer. Not only can you wear this while working out (gym, yoga, walking, home workouts etc) you can wear it throughout the day also (bonus!) .

How has it been for you?
Well. Let me be honest, putting this cincher on was not easy, especially for the first time, unlike waist trainers you don't need someone behind hind you pulling and tugging at strings making it impossible for you to breathe. This cincher can be applied in your own privacy!

The cincher is really tight at the moment, and i am hoping that after a few days of wearing the it, taking it off etc that it will get easier to wear. What i found annoying though, was this clincher in question, sits halfway between my love handles, so what hasn't been tucked under the cincher kind of sticks out lol which is all good and well if you're not going out, but you question the wear ability for outside wear (everyone differs mind you!). There is a cincher that does cover over the love handles so if that is what you're looking for invest in that one from the start! (you can still work out in them they just aren't as flexible).

The comfort will vary from person to person, but i found it very comfortable to wear on the first day, the compression did hit me say half way through the day but you get used to it. I did take it off around dinner time, then put it on before bed to ensure i wore it for around 10 hours.
My posture (which is normally very good) was excellent throughout the day, you feel obligated to sit up at the risk of 'ruining' the cincher.

I haven't done a full workout routine in my cincher yet, however i have done a few of my fave exercises and it is really flexible! I was shocked, i was cooking dinner, washing my hair and doing house work and nearly forgot i had it on!

So, where did you get it?
Finding a UK supplier was very difficult. I found one (CokeBottleCartelUK) but the customer service was horrible - avoid at all costs!! Very unprofessional! (but this blog isn't about them!) So my search continued and i came across YourSilhouetteUK after seeing one of their models on twitter (the joy of social networking huh) I had a look at the website and knew i had to get one.

Tell us about the prices!
YSUK range between £50-£65 for a cincher. Unlike other websites (american based & UK i think) they do not have any packages, starters packs or introductory offers - this would have been great to have! Especially for people who are more cautious about using cinchers. So my cincher was £50 + £4.99 (the UK standard, international is £34.99 - ouch). I ordered around 9/10 am on Friday morning, i got my cincher the next day, although i was informed that i could get it latest Monday - i was prepared for this, didn't think it would come on the next day!)

What else do they offer?
YSUK also offer a anti-cellulite toning lotion 200ml for £7.99, which is used under the cincher or on other parts of the body ie. Thighs. They also are aiming to sell a slimming tea. As well as Q&A on social media - although you get a faster response on insta than FB & Twitter.

So what did you think of YSUK?

Nothing but good things to say about the YSUK team, They are very informative with the amount of questions their potential / customers ask - and i asked a lot lol. The website is very simple to use which is great - on mobile it has it' issues mind you. But inform them and they always check the problem. The FAQ section answers most questions.
Delivery is amaze balls, very fast!

Side Note: I love how YSUK use REAL women not just stick thin females who already have a cinched waist!

So, nothing negative?
The only issues i have are that there is no section on the site that tells you about the cinchers, the benefits - there are pictures of customers results but to have a written bit of information about cinchers would be brilliant. I really think this would be good for women who are new to the cincher world.

Also there isn't any packages, as stated before. Sister American sites have packages eg a wrap, the lotion and a certain cincher for a set price OR a workout band & a hourglass cincher for X amount,  i really think that these would be great for new customers i know if there were deals like this on YSUK, i would have got that.

Additionally, i think with these cinchers there should be some type of deal where you can get your size down cincher for half price or something, because my maths tells me that's £108 on two cinchers and with some women losing inches as fast as anything thats one big booboo to your bank account! I think that is the one thing that put me off before now about buying these, i know talking to my girlfriends that's something they are worried about too.

Would you recommend?
Yes. These cinchers work out cheaper than shipping from US suppliers, delivery is quick as anything, customer service & care is really good, they really make you feel comfortable, very professional - as I've had a negative experience with another UK supplier this was a breath of fresh air.

If you're feeling cautious about buying a cincher, subscribe to my blog OR follow me on instagram and follow my results. Most results are seen in 3-4 weeks.
