Recipe: Rows Beef Thai Stir Fry

For the days you don't want to have something very heavy. but you fancy a different cuisine to what you normally have.
i have redeveloped a recipe to create the ultimate home cooked take away.
It is best to leave this mixture over night although using it on the same day works just as well.

Prep time: 20mins Cook time: 20mins

You Will Need:

  • 400g beef strips cleaned - NB Tesco do the best value for money & less fatty
  • 4teaspoons brown sugar - HO try light brown sugar
  • 2 gloves of garlic finely chopped
  • 1 red chilli finely chopped
  • 2-3 tablespoons of oyster sauce
  • 2 table spoons dark soy sauce
  • 2 spring onions
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method

  1. Take your beef strips and ensure to clean off any unwanted/unneeded fatty bits (as fat really alters the taste of this meal), rinse the beef in a water and lemon mix to ensure it is clean rinse with water and pat dry.
  2. Place the beef in a mixing bowl add the salt, pepper and chilli - for an alternate taste you can add 1 teaspoon of Chinese five spice. You then add the rest of the ingredients adding the sugar in last.
  3. Heat up a wok - or a large frying pan with two tablespoons of oil - try chilli infused oil for a kick.
  4.  Once the oil has heated place the beef in the wok should only take 15-20 mins to cook through.
serve with basmti rice or egg noodles

Enjoy x
